Don's Books bears the name of it's founder, Donald Zentz.

Don loved to read, and he began to trade books with his friends and coworkers while he worked at Delco. Over time he amassed a great deal of books, so his fellow readers began to come to his garage and trade there, where he kept his books.

Soon he outgrew his garage. He took out a space at a flea market and began to buy and trade books there. He soon became so popular that his customers begged him to open a store. When he retired from Delco, he obliged them. Don's Books was born.

For a while he operated the store from his garage, but the space was entirely inadequate. When the current building became available he bought it.

Don operated the store for around 8 years in this building until declining health forced him out. His children ran the store for around two years . After Don passed away in August of 2003, The decision was made to close the store at the end of the year.

It was at this point that Robert Holz approached them again about buying the store. The details were worked out. Robert formed Hazeltine & Graham, LLC to own and run the store.

Hazeltine & Graham, LLC took over the store January 1, 2004 with a different approach and philosophy than Don had held. Changes were immediate, although not always noticable. The following years have been a constant press to improve inventory, facilities and processes to better serve our customers.
